Financial Analyst
UC Funds is seeking a self-starting, disciplined, ambitious financial analyst with 1-2 years of real estate or investment banking and commercial real estate experience to join our forward-thinking, entrepreneurial organization. Outstanding college graduates are also welcomed to apply, preferable GPA 3.5 or higher.
The fund has raised fresh equity to capitalize on the opportunities created by the distressed real estate markets. Candidate will work directly with Chief Credit Officer on Portfolio Management and will also work with Senior Underwriters on specific deals. Prior real estate knowledge not necessary, but is a plus. Candidate should thrive under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This ground-level position offers a junior real estate professional the opportunity to learn from a veteran support structure, in a rapidly changing US RE landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Model in-place and prospective portfolio performance
- Model position acquisitions/originations (Real Estate, Distressed Notes, Bridge Loans, Securities)
- Prepare Power Point presentations for new business opportunities
- Work with Property Managers on asset performance
- Provide dynamic support to Senior Underwriters and Chief Credit Officer
- Assist with all due diligence relating to new investments
- Assist with drafting investment memos to be presented to Investment Committee
- Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the portfolio and the properties
- Assist with financing and disposition transactions
- Assist with ad-hoc/special projects as needed
Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze monthly property financials, property cash flow statements and future cash requirements
- Creating and/or utilizing financial models for investment valuation.
- Perform on-site visits (monthly/quarterly/annual).
- Develop and distribute Asset Management reports
- Researching and analyzing pertinent market data
- Review and analysis of third-party reports
- Monitor and administer loan covenants including reserve draws
Job Requirements:

Primary responsibilities include:
- UC Fund Management, LLC seeks Quantitative Financial Analyst to work w/ various databases to develop models, organize data sets & run sensitivity analyses related to competitive residential & retail market rents, real estate profitability indicators, & their finances based on different capital solutions in Boston, MA.
- 60% travel w/i U.S. B.S./B.A. in Engineering (any sub-field), math, or other quantitative field. Foreign equivalent accepted.
- Must have: proficiency w/ math modeling & analytical capabilities; ability to translate portfolio management requirements into quantitative projects & present the results in an investment-oriented way; basic knowledge of financial sensitivity analysis; ability to understand, develop & analyze mathematical & statistical data sets & convert them into ideas; ability to comprehend numbers in databases & ascertain their validity; ability to ascertain whether investment funds are being used according to the construction plan; experience in accounting & finance to understand cash flows & preparing financial reports for management. We’re looking for a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent for our fast and fun 9-Hole golf course in the Gulf Coast region of the United States and specifically in Alabama’s Gulf Coast region. Overall Responsibilities
The Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent is responsible for operation and maintenance of the golf course. These responsibilities include:
- Turfgrass/plant material maintenance programs and maintenance/repair of golf grounds.
- Property/course/equipment management.
- Scheduling/maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Pesticide applications or oversight of this outsourced function.
- Supervising the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment assigned to the course.
- Prepare and follow an agronomic plan that operates within the weekly, monthly, and annual plan and in line with the annual budget.
- Procuring and managing supplies and materials to support maintenance activities.
- Creating and distributing report of maintenance activities as required and fulfilling administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Works closely with the Supervisor to operate the Golf Course in a fiscally responsible and professional manner.
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-starting problem solver.
Primary Duties
- Oversees the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, and wetlands on the facility grounds.
- Directs and assists the staff on the planting of new vegetation; the replacement, spraying, pruning, and trimming of trees and shrubs; the preparation of soil plant beds for aesthetically pleasing arrangements; and tending to high stress areas.
- Manages an aggressive water usage tracking plan and irrigation systems; provides weekly or timely reporting on retaining ponds, wells, and other water source usage.
- Oversees subordinates in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment.
- Plans and budgets for additional or replacement capital equipment.
- Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides).
- Supervises and controls all maintenance expenses associated with Golf Course Operations, including payroll, supplies, chemicals, and fertilizers.
- Develops annual operating budget and plans for maintenance or capital improvement projects.
- Maintains records and completes required reporting.
- Orders parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Schedules maintenance practices around member play and outings to maximize efficiency.
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways and roughs.
- Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work.
- Skill in recruiting, supervising, training, monitoring, evaluating, and motivating personnel.
- Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and work with supervisors, staff, and course players.
- Knowledge of safe use, mixing, and application of chemicals and commercial products.
- Knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules, and methods of play.
- Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
- Ability and knowledge to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patterns, and construct tees and/or greens.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience as a Golf Superintendent, 1st Assistant, or Assistant Superintendent
- Computer skills for ordering, reporting and control of operations, including use of Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pesticide Application License (strongly recommended)
